The Good News of Jesus Christ
God made you on purpose and for a purpose.
He is holy, just, and full of love. He created us to know Him, walk with Him, and enjoy Him forever.
1. Our Problem: Sin & Separation
All of us have turned away from God and chosen our own way. The Bible calls this sin.
Because God is perfectly holy and just, He cannot ignore sin or pretend it doesn’t matter.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, ESV)
“The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23, ESV)
Sin separates us from God now and leads to eternal separation from Him if nothing changes.
We cannot fix this by being “good people,” going to church, or trying harder. No amount of good works can erase our guilt before a holy God.
2. God’s Solution: Jesus, the Lamb of God
The good news is that God did not leave us hopeless.
Out of love, the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man. Jesus lived the sinless life we could not live, then willingly went to the cross to take the punishment we deserve.
On the cross, Jesus took our sin and God’s wrath upon Himself.
He died, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead, proving He is Lord over sin, death, and hell.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, ESV)
Because of Jesus, forgiveness and new life are gifted, not earned.
“…but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, ESV)
3. How You Must Respond
This gift must be personally received. The Bible calls us to:
Repent – turn from sin and self-rule
Believe – trust in Jesus alone to save you
Not just believing about Jesus, but entrusting your life to Him as Lord and Savior.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9, ESV)
When you turn to Christ in faith, God forgives your sins, makes you His child, gives you His Spirit, and promises you eternal life.
4. You Can Call on Him Right Now
There is no magic prayer, but if God is drawing your heart, you can respond to Him in your own words.
If this reflects what is happening in your heart, call on Jesus today. He promises He will not cast out anyone who comes to Him.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13, ESV)
